I am a mathematical physicist and differential geometer, currently holding a position of assistant professor (adiunkt) at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics at the University of Łódź 1 (Poland). Previously, I was a postdoc at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN) in Warsaw, under the mentorship of Prof. Janusz Grabowski. In September 2024, I defended my PhD, with a dissertation titled The geometry of dissipation (arXiv:2409.11947), under the supervision of Prof. Manuel de León, at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT) in Madrid, Spain.

My name is actually spelled "Asier López Gordón," where both "López" and "Gordón" are surnames 2. To avoid confusion with a middle name, I usually join my surnames with a hyphen in academic contexts. The acute accents ("ó") mark the stressed syllables, though "Lopez-Gordon" is acceptable for systems lacking character support.
